 Pricing and Details

The company revealed the pricing and information for the 2025 Sorento Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid on Tuesday, and both have received the update already seen on the pure combustion 2024 model. As expected, the prices are higher than last year, and in some cases, notably so. But there is a surprise in this mix. The base price for the new Sorento Hybrid is, in fact, lower than before.

The New Entry-Level Model: EX

This is because buyers now have a new entry-level model to choose from. The EX is now the starting point for the hybrid, with a base price of $49,365, including a $1,375 destination fee. This is $2,300 less than last year’s base MSRP, and you still get the same 261-horsepower, 258 lb-ft of torque hybrid powertrain. To refresh, it’s a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a single electric motor and a 14-kWh battery. The 2025 Sorento’s all-electric range is 30 miles.

Upgrades and Amenities

The EX model also comes with amenities such as heated electric front seats, a 12.3-inch central display, 19-inch aluminum wheels, LED headlights, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and USB power outlets throughout the three-row cabin. Over-the-air updates are standard, as is a modest set of driver-assist features, including lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, rear traffic alert, blind-spot warning, forward-collision avoidance, and more. All of this is wrapped in the enhanced exterior design that Kia revealed last year.

SX Prestige of the ultimate kia sorento hybrid package

Upgrading to the SX Prestige will cost you $54,465, which is $2,800 more than last year. This is where you’ll find features like leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats, a Bose stereo, two 12.3-inch screens for the driver and central infotainment system, and more. It’s also the only way to get Kia’s full suite of driver-assist features, including blind-spot collision avoidance, advanced forward-collision avoidance, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance, and a surround-view camera.

Mild Hybrid and Plug-In Options

Kia has also announced the pricing and details for the Sorento Mild Hybrid. You’ll pay $40,065 for the entry-level EX with front-wheel drive, and opting for all-wheel drive brings the price to $41,865. These are modest increases of $1,700 and $1,200, respectively, compared to last year. Meanwhile, the Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige jumps by $4,400 to start at $48,265. The 227-horsepower hybrid powertrain continues from 2024; it’s a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a single motor assisted by a 1.5-kWh battery. Both Sorento hybrid models will be available later this year.
